Wild Cherry의 76년 앨범에 'Play that Funky Music' 당시 인기 차트에서 엄청나게 사랑받았으며 30여년의 시간이 지난 지금도 수 많은 밴드들이 카피하고 있고 라디오에서도 심심치 않게 들려오며 록 클럽이나 Bar에서 여전히 연주되고 있는 펑크의 대표적인 명곡이다.이후 힛트작 없이 두 장의 앨범(1979)을 더 내고 활동을 중지했다.              Play that Funky Music 펑키 뮤직을 연주해요   Hey~ ! Vanilla Ice가 불러서 앨범을 내기도 하구요...
